You Are Calling Us

Lord,

You are calling and you are leading us

there where we didn’t think to go.

You are calling us by our name,

that unique name, known to You alone.

We are frightened to say “yes” but we know

That You will give us the strength on the road.

Your words are resonating in our ears:

“Go, fear not, for I will lead you

and I will speak through your mouth,

even if you forsake me,

I, myself, shall not forsake you.”
