Come Holy Spirit, choose thine abode within us
and make us into carriers of the Spirit,
transparent in thy light.
Come into us and channel our energies,
Oh thou the gift which gives to give.
Thou who unitest without confusing,
act within the heart of your churches
so that each and every one may recognize each other in truth.
In work and in rest,
in peace and in combat, in joy and in sorrow,
be the intimate part of ourselves, the source, the fountain, the life.
Uncover our countenances, make us epiphanies.
Without thee, without the Word, without the Father,
Man is naught, he is not a man,
for to be flesh without the spirit is not to be fully human.
Forgive our sin,
grant us to accept our wounds,
grant us to love the world more than we do.
Make it so that we work to reconcile it,
so that we master it and construct it as just.
Make us, from strangers into rediscovered persons.
Remove falsehood from us
and according to thy promise
lead us toward the truth in its entirety.
Bless our confidence
reinforce love and ties,
invigorate hope.
