Prayer

Lord, you did not suffer for us, just so that we would succumb to evil, but so that through your suffering, our faith would be fortified.

You know, however, our weaknesses and we pray to you humbly: save us from suffering for we will not turn away from you

And if we are not spared from trial, then we beseech you, deliver us from evil!

We pray to you also for the world itself, so often overtaken by war, injustice and misfortune.  We pray that the tragedies of humanity do not dim our humanity or stifle our cry of hope.

Save our world from giving into to the temptations of power, pride, and hatred.

Deliver us from Evil!
