Jesus, you who cried out to your Father,
Hear the cries of those who have been abandoned.
Christ in agony until the end of the world,
forget not the suffering members of your body.
Remember the man who has been let down by his own kind,
the abandoned person who dreads the night hours,
the innocent man arrested like a criminal,
the defendant unjustly condemned,
the beaten, humiliated prisoner,
the upright man who is lead to death,
the one who trusts in you to the end.
You who came out of the tomb alive:
open your garden of life to the captives of death.
