Early in the night, our souls turn towards You, for your commandments light up the earth.
We have wished to achieve charity and holiness by living in fear of You. For it is You whom we glorify, You our veritable God. Incline your ear and hear our prayer.
Remember by name, Lord, all those who are praying to You, and deliver them by your might! Bless your people, sanctify your legacy! Give peace to the world, which belongs to You, to your Churches, to your servants, and to all your people. For your name, worthy of every honor and exaltation, is blessed, O God Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever more. Amen.
(Second Prayer from the Twelve Prayers of the Office of Matins)

Lord, your mercy is eternal. O Christ, You who are all merciful, give us your grace, extend your hand and save all those who are tempted, You who are good, take pity on all your children and come to their aid; grant, Merciful Lord, that we may take refuge in the shadow of your protection and be delivered from evil and from the followers of Satan.
My life is crumpled up like a spider’s web: in times of trouble and distress, we have become as strangers, and our years have withered under poverty and adversity. Lord, You, who with an order calmed the sea, calm also in your mercy the troubles of the world, uphold the Universe, which is reeling under the weight of its errors.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Lord, that your merciful hand may rest on believers and confirm the promise you made to the Apostles: “I am with you always until the end of the World»; be our help as you were theirs and, by your grace, save us from every evil, give us security and peace, so that we may give thanks to You and adore your Holy Name, throughout all time.

Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth and good will to men. To You the highest praise in the highest of heavens. Blessed be You, O our Savior and Master, we praise You, we glorify You, we confess You and we adore You, we praise You and we give thanks to You for your immense glory; You our Master and our King, You the Holy of heaven, the Lord and the almighty Father; our Lord and the only Son of the Father, You, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Holy. Our Master, the Lamb of God and Son of the Father, who became one of us by the Virgin. You have shown us mercy. You forgave the sins of the world. That is why, hear our shout of hope, You the Holy one who sits at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us, for You are holy, You are the only Very High, You are our only Lord, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
