What are we? What is our life? What is our mercy, our righteousness, our deliverance?
What is our valour? What shall we say before your face, our God and God
of our fathers?
Are not all the mighty as nothing before you?
And are not the wise without knowledge and the learned without
discernment?
For most of their deeds are chaos and the days of their life are empty
before thee;
And the advantage of man over beast is nothing, for all is vanity
