Holy is the God who from my youth showed me life and light.
Holy is the God, Father of the whole universe.
Holy, thou who existeth from the beginning,
Holy, thou the God who art known to everyone…
Holy, O God who perservereth and knoweth all things,
Holy O God who hast created everything through thy Word.
Holy thou that nature has not veiled,
Holy thou whose praise nature sings.
Holy, thou who art stronger than any power,
Holy thou who art larger than any size.
Holy thou who art above all praise.
Receive the words, which from my soul and from my heart mount towards thee,
O inexpressible, ineffable, O thou who art invoked in silence.
I ask thee for the true knowledge of our deepest self.
Lean towards me, make me strong,
And, according to charity, I will radiate this grace on my brethren
Who are thy children.
For my spirit belongs to God’s Spirit;
Therefore I believe and confess my faith
From which I receive life and light.
Blessed be thou, O Father, your creature, man, wishes to be sanctified in thee,
According to the power thou hast given him to do so.
Glory be to thee now and always
And forevermore. Amen
