Build upon the rock

Almighty God, bless the work of our hands.

We want to act in a charitable way, open to our neighbor.

We ask for your power to strengthen and increase our resolve.

We do not found our effort on sand, but we make it rest

on you, the unshakeable rock;

Should it rain, the torrents come and the winds blow,

our work will not crumble or fall apart.

It is not with sword and fire that we want to act, but with prayer

and mercy, and more importantly, by the protection you give to good works.

Lord, you are for us the first worker and the first artisan.

Give us the strength and the light to serve our neighbor and thus

to magnify your glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever and and ever.
